David Huff - Author
David Glenn Huff grew up as a kid in a military family (military brat) and traveled throughout the United States and Japan, having lived in Japan once, Florida twice, Colorado twice, and Las Vegas four times. He joined the United States Air Force after graduating from high school at 18, and stayed in the Air Force for 6 years, working in Duluth Minnesota for NORAD, experiencing a tour in Greenland, and working in the fields of Space Track and Missile Warning. Glenn’s last assignment was at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, Nevada, working Red Flag Operations to train the pilots and crews in combat for middle eastern environments. Some of his greatest adventures occurred out in the desert. Watching a big bomber cutting across the desert at 100 feet off the deck was pretty cool.
Glenn has worked as a coal miner, experienced life as a police officer, and was a sheriff’s deputy in Nye county Nevada, where he learned how important integrity was. He has been employed as a mechanic at Hill Air Force base, working on landing gear for depot maintenance on military aircraft. During this time, he joined the USAF reserves at Hill AFB, attending two tech schools in avionics for the F-16 aircraft.
He met and married his wife at school in Denver, Colorado, and has three children. He received his Bachelor Degree, Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts, and his Master’s degree in Human Resource Management with a concentration in adult education training. He has taught basic electronics and American history at the college level, has developed training courses for aircrews, and has served an LDS mission for his church.
Within the last 18 months he has launched a series of fictional adventures in three books, with more on the way. The first book in the series is Arizona Heat, the second, Florida Heat, and the third, Nevada Heat. More books are forthcoming.
Each book is related to some aspect of his life; gritty, yet splashed with humor and love.
